About Us

Girl Scouts of Larchmont-Mamaroneck serves girls in the Mamaroneck and Rye Neck school districts as well as Sts. John and Paul School, the French American School of New York and other private schools as well as home-schooled girls living in our community.

We are a very active Girl Scout community with approximately 600 girls in over 60 troops from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

History
Location
The Larchmont Girl Scout House is located at 90 Harmon Drive, Larchmont, NY 10538, in Larchmont (off Weaver Street) and is available for Girl Scout meetings and functions.  It is not available for rental or use by outside organizations or individuals.
Larch. Garden Train Station
Until the Great Depression, commuters dashed through the tunnel at the little brick railroad station to catch the “Bump and Wobble” or the Boston-Westchester commuter train, as it was more formally known. Today this railroad station is the Larchmont Girl Scout House and the tunnel is used for storage. Since their purchase of this property in about 1938, Girl Scouts have painted, cleaned, and kept this house cheerful and useful.

Empowering Girls

As Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Girls grow courageous and strong through a wide variety of enriching experiences, such as field trips, skill-building sports clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships.

The Impact

Girl Scouts helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others.
